Beck Road Visitor Centre & Gift Shop

As part of Openhouse 2019 Beck Road, our street, opened it’s doors and roads to the public for a special exhibition. All exhibitors either previously or presently worked or lived on the street. We were a part of this as the Visitor Centre & Gift Shop welcoming people and selling merchandise specially commissioned by us and made by the exhibiting artists that held connections with the bar. Artists on the street and in the gift shop were For Fans Only, Eve Shillingford, Supporting Material, Dom Ridler and Clara Potaito.

We installed a huge curtain designed by JA Projects and custom table. Artists made t-shirts, hats, ceramics and postcards.

Items are still available in store and online on the webshop. Since opening Diddy’s has forged important connections with all artists involved be that as customers or colleagues and our aim was to be able to support their artistic practice by selling items by them.

Held over Openhouse weekend we had a party on the Friday evening, a shared table alongside Theatrum Mundi on the Saturday and served customers at the shop and cafe over the weekend.
